Styrene Monomer

Colorless, transparent and slightly oily liquid with a sweet odour. Easily polymerizes when exposed to heat, light, or peroxide catalysts. It is flammable and unstable, it is handled inhibited, moderately toxic by ingestion or inhalation. Commonly used in the production of valuable copolymers and homopolymers, some solid, some expandable.
